The Festival began in 2003, as part of the Excelsior Neighborhood
Commercial Revitalization (ENCoRe) project, designed to bring back
the vitality of the Excelsior’s commercial district, support
small business and strengthen the local economy, and to beautify
and promote the Excelsior neighborhood.
The Excelsior Action Group formed in 2002 to ensure merchants, residents,
and community organizations are actively involved and working together
in the Excelsior’s economic development. Learn more about
